Free Cotton & Jute Mini Basket Pattern
Welcome! this being my first pattern and blog post, I’m keeping everything simple and cute! Using a pattern I know better than the back of my hand.
The idea for this pattern spawned from my desire to have a little basket/cup to keep my crochet hooks in, and look cute on the desk in my office, the basket can serve as a slip over jars and bottles, to hold hooks, pens, flowers, stones, anything you desire! An adorable decor item, a useful container, or a combination of the two, additionally this basket can be made under 5$ and in less than an hour. Made using simple stitches this is a great pattern for beginners!
To make this basket I used a spool of jute twine from the dollar store, and a skein of sugar n’ cream cotton yarn in any color you like!
-I used a 5.5 mm hook for the smaller basket, and a 7 mm hook on the larger basket but you can use any yarn with the corresponding hook size
-If you use a 7mm hook I suggest doubling the cotton, holding 2 strands together as one
